People have been telling stories for as long as we have had language - stories about what happened, about how the world came to be the way it is, stories about our ancesters and our gods.
And we still tell stories! Today we often find our stories in books, in films, in newspapers and magazines, on television and DVDs. We live in a world filled with stories. But many people have rediscovered the appeal of stories told in the traditional way - an intimate art, that allows us to enter into the story and there to find ourselves.
So, whether it's in the classroom, in a house of worship, in a museum, at a home for seniors, at an office party, or at a festival, there's a place for storytelling.
